Bhutanese favourite cusine

The Puta is a coarse ground buckwheat served in Bhutan, and not what I ever dreamed of, being used to refined buckwheat in Japan, e.g. soba.

In Bhutan, buckwheat grains are used in the form of processed products, mainly flour. Buckwheat is a versatile food grain and can be used in several culinary preparations. The most popular buckwheat dishes are khuli, a pancake-like preparation, and puta, noodle-like preparation.
